25 years of partnership Elmas - Demag Cranes&Components, in Romania

The event on 7 June 2018 organized at the Elmas factory in Brasov marked the completion of 25 years of partnership with the German manufacturer of industrial cranes and components - Demag Cranes&Components. Based on the signing of the representation agreement in 1993, Elmas has continuously developed the Demag industrial crane line of business and is today offering through its design, sales, assembly and service departments a complete package of premium products and services dedicated to the market requirements. Since 2004, Elmas has been manufacturing in Brasov industrial cranes under the Demag license with loads up to 300 tons and gauges up to 40 meters, at high quality standards. Following major investments made in the industrial cranes and metal structures factory of Brasov, since 2014 the company increases its production capacity and incorporates the production of the new V type travelling canes (2016), product of the German partner DEMAG engineering.

Through its subsidiaries in neighboring countries (Hungary, Bulgaria, Republic of Moldova) we manage to export part of the competitive products manufactured in Romania.

Elmas consisting of 4 business lines (forklifts, industrial cranes / metal structures, elevators / parking systems and forestry machinery), employs 360 people and was founded in 1990 with 100% Romanian capital. The main business of the company is the manufacture of lifting and handling equipment. The company headquarters is located in Brasov, its production, warehousing, repair and administrative areas stretching over an area of​70,000 square meters.
