ELMAS elevators – a valuable addition to your building

ELMAS elevators – a valuable addition to your building

19 Feb. 2024

During 2022 and up to now, ELMAS has innovated and tested a modern design process for cars and call buttons for elevators. It all started with a concept that would ensure a safe use of the elevator, as well as a fashionable and user-friendly car design, both of these experimenting with a technical method. Until now, several such elevators have been completed and are in operation, for testing purposes of the technical process, the design of which has either a theme commissioned by the client, or proposed by ELMAS.

Since ELMAS highly values the greatest Romanian artist Constantin Brâncuși and since February 19 is the great artist’s birthday, on the occasion of this important event, an elevator in the company has been decorated with two glass prints representing two cherished and well-known sculptures: one from the birds in the great cycle sculpted by Constantin Brâncuși and the famous Mlle Pogany. The idea is to pique the interest of those who work in the company to discover the work of the great Romanian sculptor, who has had an enormous contribution to universal art.

Still on the subject, ELMAS has received a well-deserved recognition in 2021 by winning, with the platform for passengers “Pasărea Măiastră” (Majestic Bird), for the third time in a row, the “Project of the Year” award presented by Elevator World Inc., a American company with a tradition of over 65 years, which publishes Elevator World, a magazine distributed worldwide.

The International Center of Art, in Craiova, now includes an underground pavilion wing dedicated to Brâncuși, the above-ground space being covered by a glass prism. It has a height of 12 meters and comprises large-scale interpretations of Brâncuși’ works “Ovoidul” (Ovoid) and “Pasărea Măiastră” (Majestic Bird). For this unique project in the world, ELMAS has designed, manufactured, delivered, and installed a product that blends in the architectural environment, immersing the visitors in an interesting visual experience during their trip.
