Launching a specialisation course for “Forklift Driver”

With over 32 years of experience in the field of lifting equipment, ELMAS, a company headquartered in Brașov, has launched a specialisation course for “Forklift Driver”, COR code 833403.

The “Forklift Driver” occupation refers to the combined technical and organizational skills necessary for the safe operation of forklifts and requires particular knowledge and abilities in ensuring the safe handling of goods.

The specialisation involves a complex operation that depends on a variety of factors, such as: the type of forklift, the type and category of transported goods, the quality and efficiency of transport, the degree of security for the forklift and transported goods, the degree of transport optimization, professional attitude to work activities, enforcement of occupational health regulations, fire safety regulations, and environment protection regulations.

Acquired skills:
- reinforcement of vocational training;
- compliance with work safety and fire safety regulations, and ISCIR technical prescriptions;
- preparation and inspection of the vehicle for work;
- carrying out transport and handling of goods;
- identifying any defective equipment;
- filling in documents;
- handing over of equipment and compliance documents.

The specialisation course will take place at the ELMAS head office in Brașov and is authorized by I.S.C.I.R. (National Authority for the Control of Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Hoisting Equipment) and M.M.J.S. (Ministry of Labour and Social Justice).

Course duration (theory + practice): 100 hours.
