The automated parking pilot project Elmas Combiparker has entered a new phase: installation of the integrated photovoltaic panel system with multiple functions.
The shading system mounted on the two facades of the parking system, which have the most extended exposure to the sun in the south-west direction, with an installed capacity of 17 kw, is intended to ensure two main functions:
- the shading function necessary for reducing the greenhouse effect inside the parking system
and
- green electricity production function using solar energy, in order to obtain a certain level of autonomy for the operation of the parking system.
The solar photovoltaic energy captured during the day and converted into electricity will be stored in solar batteries, which will then be used during the night. A portion of the stored electricity will be saved for supplying vital consumers, in cases of extreme necessity.
With the help of specific automation, the photovoltaic blinds will be optimally positioned relative to the sun, at all times of day. The automated parking pilot project ELMAS COMBIPARKER has integrated the WÖHR system, which our design department has adapted to the proposed theme. The challenge is to plan for the vertical parking of a maximum of 25 vehicles, within a footprint of approximately 80 square meters.
